About Six Months

A gadget comparison site for India built on one idea: reviewers get a week with a product, owners get years. We count what the owners say.

What we do

For each product we collect two things. Specifications, copied from the manufacturer or a named publication and linked so you can check them. And owner sentiment, counted from thousands of public comments and reduced to figures you can read at a glance — how many people praised the battery, how many complained about it.

We do not test products. We have never held most of the things on this site. Our methodology explains exactly how the numbers are produced and what we exclude.

Who runs it

Six Months is published by StackSmiths, a product and web studio based in Kota, Rajasthan.

How we make money

Two ways, both disclosed. Some links to retailers are affiliate links, which may earn us a commission if you buy — see our affiliate disclosure. And we show advertising.

Neither influences a verdict. Rankings come from counted owner sentiment and published specifications, computed before any commercial consideration exists. A product that owners criticise ranks low whether or not we earn from it.

Corrections

Every specification links to its source, so mistakes are checkable. If something here is wrong, write to contact@thestacksmiths.com and we will correct it or show you the source.
